Raiyon's Java Combat Addon improves the combat experience in Bedrock Edition and brings it closer to Minecraft Java. The combat system will be almost the same as in the Java edition. Hope you enjoy this mod.
Bedrock combat has basically been stuck in the stone age, ignoring the massive tactical overhaul Java Edition received years ago. If you get cornered by a horde of zombies in vanilla Bedrock, your only real strategy is to frantically spam the attack button and hope for the best. This addon finally modernizes the system by porting over Java's timing-based combat loop. The most obvious change is the new attack cooldown indicator right below your crosshair. Instead of blindly swinging, you actually have to pace your strikes. If you wait a split second for the bar to fill completely, your weapon will deal its absolute maximum damage.
Because timing actually matters now, the weapon hierarchy shifts to perfectly match Java. Swords become your ultimate crowd-control tool. Landing a fully charged sword strike automatically triggers a sweeping attack, cutting through multiple mobs in a wide arc. If you want raw, single-target execution, axes have been rebalanced to deal significantly more base damage than swords, but they punish you with a much slower cooldown penalty between swings. The best part of this system is its universal compatibility; the addon dynamically applies these cooldown and sweeping rules to custom weapons from other active mods, so you do not have to worry about your modded gear breaking the combat loop.
The parity tweaks also completely overhaul defensive play and damage math. Shields no longer apply that annoying backward push when you block a hit, and the blocking animation has been updated to mirror the authentic Java stance. The shield even correctly blocks charged mace attacks, giving you a desperately needed counter to heavy aerial damage. Behind the scenes, the developer went as far as rewriting Bedrock's underlying damage calculations so that status effects like Strength and Weakness, along with enchantments like Sharpness, scale exactly the way they do on desktop.
Are you pairing this with the dual-wielding addons to build a fully authentic Java PvP server, or do you just want to clear out your mob farms faster using sweeping sword attacks?
