Anyone who regularly swaps between Java and Bedrock knows the frustration of Bedrock’s healing speed. You get blasted by a creeper, scramble behind a wall, eat a steak, and just… wait. Your hearts slowly crawl back up half a point at a time while you stare at a completely full hunger bar. It turns every tough fight into an awkward waiting game.

This addon ports Java’s post-1.9 healing math straight into Bedrock, making health regeneration tie directly to saturation rather than a slow, fixed timer.

The difference comes down to how Minecraft handles that hidden saturation stat. In vanilla Bedrock, saturation mostly just delays when your hunger bar starts dropping again. In Java, having full hunger and high saturation acts like an adrenaline shot—the game burns through that extra fuel to restore your hearts in rapid chunks.

Once this addon is running, what you eat actually dictates how you survive combat:

Golden Carrots (14 saturation): Eating one triggers fast, aggressive healing that can drag you out of critical health in seconds. You can stay in the fight instead of running away to chug potions.

Staple foods like bread or baked potatoes (around 6 saturation): Perfectly fine for walking around and building, but they won't give you the burst recovery needed to survive a botched Nether fortress run.

On top of the mechanical change, it adds a visible saturation tracker right above your hunger icons. You no longer have to guess how much invisible reserve you have left or memorize food values—you can see exactly when your rapid healing buffer is about to run dry.

It’s lightweight, doesn't bloat the game with unnecessary scripts, and fixes one of the clunkiest parity gaps between the two editions.
