Cappie Dweller mod changes how you move underground. You’ll hear, spot, or just feel Cappie tailing you through tunnels, then she’ll break line-of-sight and reappear when you get comfortable. When Extra content is on, the moment she disappears she spits out a pack of cappiecrabs that rush you, so fights flip from 1v1 nerves to a sudden mob scramble. It keeps mining tense and makes late-night surface runs feel like you’re being watched.

Treat caves like combat zones. Keep torches in your off-hand slot to hard-light corridors behind you, leave two-block dodge pockets every twenty blocks, and carry a water bucket for fast drops or crab slows. Shields stop chip damage while you reposition; swap to a sweeping sword to clear the small bodies before they pile up. Third-person in tight corners helps track angles if Cappie keeps juking around pillars, then swap back to first-person for bow control down long shafts.

On Realms, set simple rules so everyone’s on the same page: Extra content on or off, and regroup points marked with lanterns at junctions. Drop a chest labeled “anti-crab” with spare food and a sweeping blade near the main ladder, and bed in a safe nook so wipes don’t mean a long walk.
