Doll Golems PLUS+ mod keeps the craft simple—stack two snow blocks, top with a carved pumpkin, and you’ve got a doll. Overworld dolls pelt mobs and hold lanes, while the nether variant trades snowballs for fireballs, giving you real stopping power in crimson forests or fortress halls. All dolls can be cut with scissors, so you can tweak looks and quickly tell squads apart at a glance during fights.

Set them up like real defenses, not statues. Build a one-block-deep trench or waist-high rail around workyards so dolls can shoot out but can’t wander into creeper hugs. Use stone, basalt, or brick in their firing lanes; fireball dolls will ignite wood, leaves, and wool. In rainy biomes, put a slab roof over posts to keep overworld dolls from melting, and route patrols along packed paths so they don’t touch water. A 5×5 “snow mill” pen around one doll lets you harvest snow layers fast between waves to restock blocks and expand the line.

On Realms, label posts and run quick “defense checks” at dusk: repair holes, relight paths, and confirm nether dolls watch long corridors where blaze and hoglin pushes come from.
