Simple Armor Expansion Mod

Cactus armor in Simple Armor Expansion Mod sits between leather and copper, but the real perk is the Thorns-style effect baked in. Every time something swings on you in close range, it pays for it with chip damage, which is perfect when you’re getting mobbed by zombies or dealing with cramped caves. You’re still not a tank, but melee mobs stop feeling completely free.

Cactus tools lean into the same idea: they beat stone but don’t outclass copper, and they can hit in a small area instead of tagging just one block or mob.
