Smart Auto-Torch Mod

Smart Auto-Torch Mod is for players who live in caves but are tired of spamming torches every five blocks like a bot. Once it’s installed, you just play normally and let the addon handle the lighting. When the light level around you drops too low, it quietly places a torch behind you so your path stays visible without you even thinking about it. No more fumbling for torches mid-fight or mining in that sketchy “I can sort of see” darkness.

The cool part is how smart it is about saving your resources. Smart Auto-Torch Mod scans a small radius around you for real light sources like lanterns, lava, glowstone, and more. If the area is already bright enough, it just doesn’t place anything, so you’re not burning through stacks in places that are already lit. It can also tell the difference between ducking under a tree and actually diving into a cave, so it won’t waste torches just because you walked through a forest at daytime.

If you ever want to build or explore in the dark on purpose, the kill switch is simple. Rename a stick to “Torch Off,” hold it in your main hand, and the addon instantly backs off until you’re ready for auto-lighting again.
