Common Sense [NEW RECIPES] Mod

Addons / Addons 1.21

Nic's Common Sense [NEW RECIPES] Mod is for survival players who always thought, “why can’t I just craft this?” without turning the game into a cheat fest. The goal is to add sensible recipes for stuff that’s usually locked behind rare drops or weird limitations, so your world feels more complete the longer you play. Instead of praying for a specific mob drop or farming one structure forever, you get more control over progression through crafting.

The key piece is the Common Sense Table. It’s a simple crafting station that works like a regular crafting table, but it’s dedicated to these new recipes. No extra gimmicks, no random UI clutter—just a focused place where all the previously uncraftable items and blocks can be made. That also keeps your normal crafting table “vanilla,” while the Common Sense Table becomes your late-game upgrade bench.

This is the kind of addon that feels best on long-term Realms or solo worlds where you’ve already done the usual grind and want more build freedom. Being able to craft things like totems, tridents, sponges, chainmail armor, and even bedrock opens up new base ideas and survival goals without changing combat or exploration into something unrecognizable. Nic's Common Sense [NEW RECIPES] Mod is basically a quality-of-life crafting expansion that stays focused on one idea: if it makes sense, you should be able to craft it.
