MULTIDIMENSIONS Mod is basically a “post-End” campaign for players who think vanilla dimensions run out of surprises too fast. You only get access after killing the Ender Dragon, which is a smart gate because it keeps you from instantly ditching the overworld progression. When you load in, you’re given a guide item that explains the basics, and the addon is best played singleplayer survival since it can get janky and isn’t meant for superflat worlds.
Progression is the whole point. Some armor and custom ores are locked behind pushing through each dimension, and your rewards mostly come from the gear and loot you earn along the way rather than boss drops. To get started, you hunt a knight in the overworld—killing it gives you an interdimensional key. After the Ender Dragon’s death, players also get a key forger that lets you craft igniters and artifacts to access and progress through the realms.
The addon tries to keep the difficulty “fair” with savepoints—little star-like checkpoints that activate keepInventory and respawn you back at that spot when you die. They show up around boss structures so you’re not rage-running back across a dimension every attempt. One big warning: the Deep-Dark dimension forces you into adventure mode until you kill its boss, an ancient warden, so you can’t just dig your way out of trouble. Dimension themes range from Ruined Wastes and Skylands to Evergoing Caverns, Templar’s Desert, Nuclear Lands, Algids (endless winter), the Deep-Dark, and the final realm SummerSet, where the three final bosses wait. Boss structures also “call out” with beacon hints and distance cues, but generation can be unstable, so it’s worth approaching carefully and not clipping in too early.
