Grid Miner Mod

The Grid Miner addon drastically speeds up large-scale excavation by turning any standard pickaxe into an adjustable area-of-effect mining tool.

Rather than forcing you to craft complicated new items, the system integrates directly into your existing gear. You just hold your regular pickaxe and type /voxen:gridon in the chat to activate the ability, or /voxen:gridoff to turn it back off. Once active, the tool automatically detects the surface you are looking at and clears a perfectly flat grid along that specific plane. It easily handles tunneling straight through walls, flattening out uneven floors, or hollowing out high ceilings. You have total control over the exact size of the hole you want to make by using the /voxen:gm command. This opens a settings menu with a slider that lets you adjust the mining radius anywhere from a basic 1x1 up to a massive 16x16 area. If you only need to break a single block for detail work while the system is active, you can simply hold the sneak button to temporarily bypass the grid mechanic.

Giving players massive excavation abilities in a regular survival playthrough usually breaks world generation, but this addon includes several strict safety features to prevent disasters. It fully supports standard vanilla durability, meaning it accurately calculates the item damage based on the Unbreaking enchantment level of your pickaxe rather than just snapping your tool instantly. To stop you from accidentally destroying the map or flooding your mining tunnels, the code includes a protection system that ignores dangerous or unbreakable blocks. It completely avoids breaking bedrock, barrier blocks, reinforced deepslate, water, and lava, which keeps you from randomly dropping into a magma pit while strip-mining. The entire setup functions natively in survival mode without requiring you to enable any world cheats, providing a highly practical utility for clearing out underground bases without the tedious grind.
