Broadswords | Custom Weapons Mod

The Broadswords Custom Weapons addon completely changes how you approach melee fights in Minecraft Bedrock by introducing a line of heavy, tactical blades. Instead of just spam-clicking your way out of trouble, this mod forces you to slow down and time your hits, starting right off the bat with the heavy-hitting Cobalt Broadsword.

The biggest change to the combat loop is how the weapon handles crowd control. Every direct hit triggers a sweeping strike that damages and knocks back any mob caught in a 60-degree cone in front of you, complete with a custom slash particle effect. Since the sword has a slower attack speed, you can't just swing wildly. You actually have to pay attention to your positioning. If you get cornered, you can hold down your right-click or tap button to throw up a defensive guard. This block mechanic instantly cuts any incoming damage by 40%, triggers a parry sound effect, and actually pushes the attacker away so you can get some breathing room.



Even with all these custom mechanics, the addon fits perfectly into a regular survival world. The broadsword hits hard with a solid base damage of 8, but it doesn't feel like a cheated or overpowered weapon because of the strict attack cooldown. You can craft it normally, throw all your standard vanilla sword enchantments on it, and easily repair it on an anvil using diamonds. It works as a really practical upgrade for anyone looking to make standard Bedrock combat feel a bit more strategic and weighty.
