Flashlight: Dynamic Beam Addon

Addons / Addons 26

Flashlight: Dynamic Beam Addon - Trash your static torches and explore the darkest caves with a legit, battery-powered dynamic light source.

Let’s be completely honest, the vanilla lighting system is an absolute nightmare. Spamming thousands of static torches just to see the bottom of a massive dripstone cave or a deepslate mineshaft totally kills the immersion, especially if you are running a custom horror map or an adventure world. The Flashlight: Dynamic Beam .mcaddon completely fixes this outdated mechanic by dropping a fully functional, portable light source directly into your survival loadout. This is not just a cheap cosmetic item; it actively projects a bright, dynamic beam that physically follows your player's line of sight as you move, instantly lighting up the environment without forcing you to constantly place blocks. Plus, the creator baked in realistic, heavy click sound effects every time you toggle the beam on or off, making it feel like a legit piece of tactical hardware.

This add-on completely overhauls your early-game exploration by making the flashlight incredibly easy to craft on a standard crafting table using just a Glass Pane, some Glowstone Dust, and a single Iron Ingot. But you cannot just turn it on and sprint across the map forever. The tool features a highly balanced, built-in battery system that actively drains your energy while the beam is active. You have to constantly manage your power using the real-time battery UI injected straight onto your action bar. If you toggle the flashlight off, the battery automatically begins to passively recharge in the background. However, if you let it completely drain down to zero percent in the middle of a raid, the system aggressively punishes you with a hard thirty-second cooldown lock where you are left completely in the dark, forcing you to play smart and use the light strategically.

Because this pack actively scripts a moving light source around your player entity and pushes custom UI tracking directly to the action bar, you absolutely have to configure your world properly before going mining. Make sure you fully apply both the Behavior Pack and Resource Pack to your active .mcworld or multiplayer Realm. You also need to double-check that every required Experimental Gameplay toggle is switched on, otherwise the dynamic lighting engine and battery drain scripts will flat-out fail to function. Despite the heavy scripts required to render dynamic light on the fly, the code is incredibly optimized for the Bedrock engine, meaning you and your faction can run multiple active flashlights deep underground without instantly bricking your framerate or causing massive tick lag on mobile devices and older consoles.
