PatPat Addon - Stop Punching Your Pets and Friends

Accidentally punching your tamed wolf while trying to interact with it is a universal Minecraft tragedy. For over a decade, Bedrock players have been completely deprived of any meaningful way to show affection to their pets, friendly villagers, or server mates without inflicting actual melee damage. The PatPat Addon entirely flips that outdated interaction model by introducing a dedicated, completely safe petting mechanic. You no longer have to rely on aggressively crouching up and down to communicate with your faction members. By simply emptying your main hand, sneaking, and striking a target, you trigger an adorable, harmless petting sequence instead of a standard attack. The target actually squishes down slightly under the pressure, a cartoonish hand icon appears floating right over their head, and a satisfying audio cue plays for everyone nearby to hear.

What makes this mechanic so incredibly entertaining is that the developers left the targeting parameters wide open, meaning it applies to practically every single entity wandering around your world files. You can respectfully pat your loyal dog after surviving a tough raid, give a local farmer a tap on the head hoping for better emerald trade RNG, or even sneak up behind a live Creeper and give it a quick pat right before it blows a hole in your base. Bringing this level of expressive physical interaction into a populated SMP totally shifts the social vibe. If your Discord group runs a heavily active realm, this lightweight gesture system easily stands out as prime top multiplayer roleplay content. Friends can use it as a greeting or playfully annoy each other, especially since getting patted triggers a slight, immersive camera shake on the receiving player's screen.

Beyond just being a hilarious social gimmick, the backend customization is remarkably polished and user-friendly. Pulling up the dedicated settings menu via a quick chat command grants every individual player total control over how the system behaves on their own client, completely avoiding the need for server-wide cheat toggles. If you hate accidentally triggering the animation while trying to fight off a zombie horde, you can easily filter the interaction so it only targets tamed pets or fellow players. You can even swap the activation bind from a standard left-click punch to a right-click hold, making it perfectly optimized whether you are sweating on a keyboard or playing casually on a mobile touchscreen. If you have that one annoying friend who will not stop spamming the animation on you, a quick "Pat Me" toggle completely blocks other people from interacting with your character.

Because it leaves your Xbox achievements perfectly intact and operates without messy, lag-inducing command block loops, this wholesome interaction overhaul absolutely deserves a spot among the best Minecraft Bedrock survival mods for community servers. It perfectly bridges the gap between gritty mechanical survival and lighthearted social features. Grab this custom MCPE addon download, empty out your main hand, and start treating your faction members and base pets with a little more respect.

Who on your server is getting annoyed with this feature first?
