Social Villagers Mod

Vanilla Bedrock villagers are essentially just mindless vending machines that wander into lava and make identical grunting noises. They have no real situational awareness beyond trying to pathfind to a bed or a workstation. The Social Villagers add-on completely rewrites that behavior, fundamentally changing how villages operate without breaking their core trading mechanics. Instead of just replacing textures or tweaking standard loot tables, FleetMc Studio actually injected complex social scripting, custom voice lines, and situational AI directly into the villager entity framework.
The biggest technical achievement here is the reactive awareness system. In standard Minecraft, a villager doesn't care if you detonate TNT next to their house, punch an iron golem, or break their bed, unless they take direct damage. With this add-on, their AI actively monitors the player's behavior and the surrounding environment. If you start breaking blocks near them, lighting fires, or just staring at them for too long, they will actively acknowledge it with custom voice lines and animated facial expressions. They will even track specific mob proximity, triggering unique panic reactions to a Creeper or getting curious if you bring a tamed wolf into town.
This situational awareness is tied into a newly integrated Social Reputation system. You are no longer just dealing with the vanilla mechanical discount you get from curing a zombie villager; your moment-to-moment actions actively change how the village perceives you. Giving them food or completing trades improves their disposition based on specific personality traits—meaning a "Grumpy" villager might still act annoyed while a "Cheerful" one celebrates. The backend scripting even allows for dynamic, villager-to-villager social interactions, where multiple NPCs will gather around, listen to each other, and trigger conversational voice lines based on the time of day or the weather.
Because the add-on introduces 120 custom audio lines and dynamic facial animations triggered by heavy environmental variables, running this alongside massive automated trading halls could potentially stress the internal tick rate on lower-end devices. However, for a standard survival or roleplay Realm, it adds a massive layer of immersion. The developer even threw in a completely unhinged side mechanic where you can use shears to manually snip off a villager’s nose and keep it in your inventory, which is absolutely ridiculous but fits perfectly into the chaos of multiplayer.
Are you downloading this just to start massive jukebox dance parties in the town square, or are you actually going to try and build up a perfect reputation with a village of highly judgmental NPCs?
