Ki: The Parallel (Stalker) (Horror) (LCrandom) Addon

Most Bedrock horror add-ons rely on the exact same lazy formula: they slap a grotesque high-resolution texture onto a custom entity, give it blinding speed, and wire it to scream in your ear the second it enters your chunk. Ki: The Parallel completely abandons that cheap jumpscare meta. Inspired by LCrandom’s series, it introduces genuine psychological dread into standard survival by utilizing advanced, distance-based stalker AI. Instead of just mindlessly rushing your coordinates to kill you, these entities actively observe you from the edge of your render distance, intentionally breaking line-of-sight and despawning the moment you try to approach them.

Coding a passive stalking entity in Bedrock is notoriously difficult. If the background scripts constantly force the game to calculate complex line-of-sight checks, pathfinding pauses, and teleportation coordinates, it usually results in brutal tick-rate stutter, especially on consoles and mobile devices. This add-on bypasses that engine friction by keeping the backend incredibly lightweight. Coming in at under 4MB, it strips out the bloated custom geometry and massive, uncompressed audio files that typically crash Realms. The entity tracking triggers cleanly without tanking your frames, meaning you never get that split-second lag spike that usually warns a player a custom mob just spawned nearby.



Because the add-on is designed to blend seamlessly into standard vanilla generation, the paranoia sets in almost immediately. You aren't playing a linear adventure map with pre-scripted, predictable horror events; you are just trying to chop wood or build a starter base while constantly feeling like you are being watched. The AI actively plays mind games, forcing you to learn specific behavioral tells rather than just swinging a sword to survive. If you actually follow the creator's recommendation and drop your brightness to Moody, the stalker mechanics brilliantly utilize the engine's natural shadows to mask their movements.

It completely changes the pacing of a standard survival server, turning basic resource gathering into an incredibly stressful ordeal. Are you going to keep your head down and try to progress through a normal playthrough while silently being hunted, or are you going to drag your friends onto the Realm without warning them just to watch the stalker AI slowly drive them insane?
