Advanced Dynamic Light Mod

Advanced Dynamic Light Mod is one of those Bedrock addons that instantly makes cave trips, night travel, and base runs feel smoother. Instead of relying only on placed light sources, the addon lets light-emitting items create dynamic light around you while you move. The best part is that it’s not locked to one simple setup—you can control how the whole system works through a special item called the Advanced Dynamic Light Book.

Using that book, you can open the addon settings, manage global behavior, and fine-tune which items act as light sources. The mod supports held items, offhand items, underwater lighting, and even dropped items on the ground, so it covers a lot more than the usual “torch in hand” idea. You can also add custom items and blocks as light sources, which is huge if you run other addons and want everything to work together.

Advanced Dynamic Light Mod also lets you build detailed rules for each item with block state and permutation logic, plus exclusion settings when certain variants should be ignored.
